Justice Tribe Gives VMA Winner, Sherrie Silver, Organic Pads for Girls in Rwanda at YouTubeBlack

Last Night at YoutubeBlack in Atlanta, Justice Tribe's Executive Director, Marquisha Taylor, donated 300 Justice Tribe Empowerment Kits to Sherrie Silver and her charity, Children of Destiny. The kits produced through Justice Tribe's Period Justice Project will be given to girls in Rwanda, which is Sherrie Silver's homeland and home to her charity. Marquisha Taylor told YouTube Black attendees, "Giving a box of disposable tampons and/or pads to girls and women that lack access to feminine hygiene products provides a very short-lived solution. We provide a sustainable solution by providing reusable organic cloth pads. Next year, we are planning to conduct free training courses on how to produce them and create local social enterprises."
